DT4MP — DigitalTwin-4-Multiphysics Lab

2023–2027 Digital Twins Urban AI Industry

DigitalTwin-4-Multiphysics Lab

The DT4MP Lab addresses both urban digital twins (UDZ) and industrial multi-physics twins, treating them as synergistic research areas. By combining real-time data streams with advanced multi-physics simulation and AI, the lab develops tools that improve urban quality of life and industrial production efficiency.

My role

I co-lead the DT4MP Lab, with responsibility for the urban digital twins pillar — in particular the OpenSKIZZE project on AI-assisted urban climate planning. DT4MP provides the broader research infrastructure and cross-institute collaborations that make this work possible.

Lab focus areas

  • Urban digital twins — modelling urban infrastructure, green spaces, and climate for city planning
  • Industrial multi-physics twins — optimising manufacturing processes and part quality through simulation
  • AI + simulation — combining machine learning with physics-based CFD and FEM models
  • Knowledge transfer — providing data analysis, virtual testing, and validation services to SMEs
